Nate talks with Sammi Massey, an 8th grade wrestling standout from Mount Markham in Section III. Sammi won a state title last season as a 7th grader at 94 pounds and finished the year with a 39-2 record, with both losses coming against boys. At the time of this episode, her record this season is 19-1. She is joined by Nate Leonard, head coach of the Gorilla Grapplers Wrestling Club and a longtime friend of the show. Sammi talks about making the trip to Sidney several times each week to train with the Gorillas and how getting connected with the club has helped elevate her training and confidence.
